The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

While living in Paris in the early 1970s, I attended a dinner at which William F. Buckley was the guest speaker. In response to a question as to why Richard Nixon had picked Spiro Agnew as his running mate, Mr. Buckley replied, “to show his contempt for any future assassin.” It seems Barack Obama has echoed Nixon in picking Joe Biden as his VP candidate.

The left-wing liberal establishment has got what it wants: two arrogant, selfcentered, condescending individuals who have never managed anything of consequence, whose only adult jobs have been at one public trough or another, and who have no military experience.

However, they are qualified to insult us by telling us how dumb we are, and how only they can “fix” what they perceive is wrong with the United States. Just trust them. I think not.
