Never deviating from the script

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

While fast forwarding through two recent speeches of President Obama that I had recorded, it became quite apparent that he never looked at his live or TV audience as his head constantly snapped back and forth between his two teleprompters.

In reflecting on the feelings I had during his past live “readings” of his teleprompters, I never detected eye contact, and never felt he was talking to me. Rather, it felt like he was addressing his teleprompters — or maybe, the “man-in-themoon.” David Calkin Nokomis, Florida
