This is not America

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

The TSA have become Nazi Brownshirt thugs in 2011 American blue shirts. I was recently in the Denver airport planning to fly back to Portland, Oregon. On my way through the security line I was told to go into the naked picture booth for radiation.

As I put my hands over my head in the traditional criminal pose, I frowned and said “Assume the Position” to no one in particular. The TSA guard stopped the process, said she didn’t like my attitude, called her supervisor who called his supervisor and they proceeded to prevent me from going through security to catch my plane. They said I was being uncooperative and they didn’t like my attitude or my sarcasm. I proceeded to argue with them and accuse them of letting their power go to their heads and then asked them where my belongings were and if they were confiscating (stealing) my cell phone and wallet and credit cards as well. This gave them pause, and after conferring for several minutes, they completed their naked body picture of me which revealed that I had no explosives, which they already knew. They then grudgingly allowed me to find my things, get redressed and go to my plane.

Their attitude was one of 100 percent justification for anything they wanted to do to maintain control. It had nothing to do with safety, mine or anyone else’s. The TSA are not safety officers. They are prison guards intimidating, threatening and controlling prisoners. The TSA is President Obama’s Brownshirt private army and we the American people have given them complete control of air travel. I am a criminal when I try to fly on a commercial plane and I am angry! The airlines and the flying public are in more danger today from the TSA than they are from terrorists. Robin Goodspeed Portland, Oregon
