Trying to norm a lie

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

Regarding the “gay” ideology as it pertains to marriage, it, like all ideologies,is a construct of ideas which the believer tries to impose on reality. Fascism, Naziism, and Communism forcibly infused into their respective societies: state supremacy in the first; racial supremacy in the second; dialectical materialism in the third. All these were destined to fail because falsehood is not an enduring foundation.

Likewise, the “gay” ideology undergirding activists’ demands, rests, too, on a falsehood; namely, that a man is a woman and vice-versa. Given my contention, I must agree with Matthew Arnold: “Let us . . . not, as soon as we get an idea . . . be running out with it into the street, and trying to make it rule there.” Wherever the “gay” ideology rules, it is causing confusion, social conflict, and serious harm to its adherents. John J. McCartney, Jr. Chicago, Illinois
