Democrat incompetence comes at a hefty cost to the nation

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

President Obama’s economic stimulus has added or saved just under 2.4 million jobs private or public at a cost to date of $666 bil- lion. That’s a cost to taxpayers of $278,000 per job. Or to put it another way, the government could simply have cut a $100,000 check to every- one whose employment was allegedly made possible by the “stimulus,” and taxpayers would have come out $427 billion ahead. Once again Democratic mathematics equals fiscal irresponsibility. Ramon E. Schaller Boxford, Massachusetts
