Living like a king while the nation tightens belts

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

Isn’t President Obama telling the American people to “eat cake” as he admonishes us to sacrifice while simultaneously living like a monarch? The president’s three-day campaign tour in mid-August of Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa was a lavish one in two $1.1 million buses purchased in Canada that were flown in on the taxpayer dime.

Following that campaign tour, which was dubbed a “listening bus tour for jobs”,he was off to a lavish 10-day vacation at Martha’s Vineyard to golf and wine and dine with the wealthy whom he continues to vilify (although not his rich cronies) for not paying their fair share of taxes.

There you have it folks, the man on the pedestal (throne) can’t be bothered by “the little people” who are the unemployed/jobless, the homeless or by the economy either. All his rhetoric on these subjects is simply political posturing and hype in his 24/7 campaign mode. H.E. Todd Nashville, Tennessee
