Only fair

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

As time goes on I find myself more in agreement with President Obama. When he calls for all Americans to share the sacrifice I think, “Ok, how about you pay for your own housing, transportation, and food? How about you pay for the chef and maid services out of your own pocket? And could you do a bit more of your own sacrificing in the Oval Office and a bit less on the golf course?”

When the president calls for balancing the budget with both spending cuts and revenue enhancement I agree. But since we already know soaking the rich won’t help how about a new approach? How about a 95 percent tax on campaign spending? And just so we don’t shock the economy too much we could ease it in by only applying it to incumbents for the first 100 years or so.
