It is a ride of a life­time, per­haps: 170 mem­bers of the 9/11 Fam­i­lies As­so­ci­a­tion, which in­cludes sur­viv­ing rel­a­tives of 9/11 at­tack vic­tims and first re­spon­ders, em­barked upon the mighty, 684-foot USS New York in Nor­folk, Va., bound for New York Har­bor to ob­serve the 10th an­niver­sary of the at­tacks.
