The president’s ‘green’ bias knows no limits

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor -

The Obama administration’s very different reactions to three recent disasters shows its clear bias for “green.”

One oil shutoff valve out of thousands in the Gulf of Mexico failed toclose. The administration shut down all drilling and exploration there and imposed a moratorium on new and pending permits.

An unprecedented tsunami in Japan disabled four of six reactors on the coast.

Following the lead of Japan and Germany, the administration called for a review of all U.S. reactors, whether or not near coastlines.

Two “bullet” trains collided in China. The administration continued to push high-speed rail projects in the U.S.

I guess that’s “winning the future” while losing the past . . . and the present. Barry J. Mitchel Portsmouth, Virginia
