Mission

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor - Marie Bound

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan consistently and with great power and sincerity, delivered the most important message America needed to hear in these desperately troubled times.

That message was one that reminded us of our God-given human quality of self-reliance. That is why I believe that Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan were not just conducting a campaign, but were fulfilling a Mission for America that could play an important role in saving our nation.

We are living in fearfully unsettled times. Our perceptions have been clouded by forces that have caused us to become dependent on government. We have lost some of our precious freedoms as a result.

Self-reliance is a powerful mindset. It is a driven desire by human ingenuity that produces incredible creative results, and up to now, it has always been the American way.

Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan have re-energized that quality and this powerful idea is spreading across our land and bringing hope to our hearts.

We face dangerous waters and perilous times as we now go forward, determined to repair the damage we have suffered due to unfortunate choices made by forces in our government. It will take perhaps years to restore what we have lost, but if we keep the faith and stick together, we can do this.
