Quinn campaign tactic racist, anti-Semitic

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters -

The campaign tactics of Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, a Democrat, is yet another excellent example of the utter hypocrisy and intolerance of leftists.

Mr. Quinn’s camp last week praised, tweeted and otherwise promoted the Chicago Sun-Times opinion column that compared black Republicans who support GOP gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner to Jews who collaborated with the Nazis during World War II, helping to round up fellow Jews.

In one sweeping action, the Quinn camp groups Jews and blacks who think for themselves and don’t adhere to the zombielike march of the Democratic left into the category of traitors. Americans of all persuasions should find this kind of rhetoric highly racist, anti-Semitic and extremely insulting.

What more will it take for the electorate to see through the speciousness of the Democratic Party? LORRAINE RYAN Berwyn Heights, Md.
