John Ladd and Fred Davis, a pair of no-non­sense Ari­zona ranch­ers, have asked House Mi­nor­ity Leader Nancy Pelosi to visit their lands to wit­ness the bor­der cri­sis for her­self.

“Come see why your $2 mil­lion-a-mile fence is trashed. We will send a plane for you. We will make ar­range­ments for you to stay here,” Mr. Ladd ad­vised Mrs. Pelosi in a re­cent video in­vi­ta­tion that the two sent to the Cal­i­for­nia law­maker. They have heard noth­ing — not an RSVP, not a phone call.

“My south fence is the in­ter­na­tional bor­der,” Mr. Ladd told Fox News, es­ti­mat­ing that some 2 mil­lion people have crossed over into his ranch il­le­gally in the last 25 years. Mr. Davis, mean­while, says that while be­sieged U.S. Bor­der Pa­trol are car­ing for un­ac­com­pa­nied mi­nor chil­dren in
