TRUMP’S TEA PARTY CONNECTION

The Washington Times Weekly - - Politics -

An interesting hire: Donald Trump has hired a national campaign spokeswoman by the name of Katrina Pierson a former congressional candidate in the great state of Texas. In addition, Ms. Pierson was a steering committee member for the Dallas Tea Party, founder of the Garland Tea Party, a member of the Texas Tea Party Caucus Advisory Board and a consultant in her own right.

According to the Trump campaign, she is also a “passionate advocate for freedom’ and a heavyweight on state and federal budgets, civil liberties, community organizing, and health care.

“Katrina understands the need for real change in Washington, D.C. and the importance of competence in the next election,” says Mr. Trump himself.

Meanwhile, Republicans trust the billionaire the most when it comes to immigration issues. Half of the GOPers say Mr. Trump is best qualified to take on the border challenges, with Sen. Marco Rubio at a very distant 11 percent, followed by Sen. Ted. Cruz at 6 percent. So says a new YouGov poll, which also found that 63 percent of Republicans agree with Mr. Trump’s assessment:”When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems.” character — would make him one of the most inspiring Americans ever to occupy the Oval Office. But he’s a direct threat not just to leftist narratives regarding race and class but also to the leftist stranglehold on the black vote,” Mr. French notes.

“If recent history is any guide, the Left’s attempt to strike down Carson will only make him stronger. The media can launch its attacks, but it cannot change the fundamental facts: Ben Carson is a good and decent man, an American hero.”
