A lot to hide

The Washington Times Weekly - - Letters To The Editor - GARY A. GUBISCH Columbia, Maryland

The constant attacks on President Trump since he won the election is the result of several realizations among the political left, and there is a need to bring him down before he can get started. The leftists employed nationally to disrupt campuses and streets alike, coupled with a conspiring media and a tainted political class, have been brought to bear with full measure.

While the initial reason given to the public for the instant civil war and relentless presidential coup was preventing Mr. Trump and his administration from erasing the legacy of President Obama, the more vital reason for such battle is the fear of going to prison. There are many actors from the previous administration who do not wish for their former behind-the-scenes activities to see the light of day. Legacy aside, many fear even the top players will face intense scrutiny once Mr. Trump gains momentum.
