BVPL Mobile

The Bella Vista Public Library now has an app. Easily look up books, events, and other library info right from the palm of your hand. Download BVPL Mobile for Apple and Android devices.

Library

The library will be CLOSED on Monday May 29.

Patriotic Bella Vista

The Dickens Place flag display will be returning May 26-July 6. All previously purchased flags will line the drive. If you missed out on last year’s display, you can still buy a flag for this year.

Flags are $30 which covers the price of supplies. This is not a fundraiser. Honor a loved one with a flag in their name.

Friends of the Library Yard Sale

The Bella Vista Friends of the Library will be holding a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 2. As you clean out closets and drawers this spring, consider donating your castaways to the Friends. Donations can be dropped off at the library during business hours up to May 31.

Silly Songs and Stories

Silly Songs and Stories is every Friday morning at 10 a.m. Bring your preschoole­rs and join this fun group for stories and crafts.

Freegal Music

The library has Freegal Music. This service, available through our website, allows our patrons to listen to and download music for free. Using your library card you can access this service.

Knitters and Crocheters

Knitters and crocheters are invited to brush up on their skills and learn some new techniques every Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Beginners will be guided by experience­d knitters and crocheters. Bring your current projects or start a new one. Please provide your own supplies.

Check Out a Kindle

Kindle Paperwhite­s and Kindle Fires are available for checkout to patrons in good standing. Each device is loaded with several books and may be checked out for three weeks.

New books are added to each device every month. See library staff for the check-out agreement and procedure.

Rocket Languages

We offer Rocket Languages through our website. This language learning service offers online courses for 15 different languages. All you need is a library card to access it.

Encore Books

The Friends of the Library’s used-book store is open six days a week during regular library hours. Everyday low pricing on hardbacks, DVDs, puzzles, children’s books, paperbacks, biographie­s, health and wellness topics, and much, much more.

All proceeds of this ongoing fundraiser support the library. New books are added almost daily.

Exhibits

May’s displays are provided by Karen Nassie. Anyone interested in displaying a collection should contact Rebecca at 479-855-1753.

Floral Arrangemen­t

May’s floral arrangemen­t was designed and provided by Marsha Jertson of the Bella Vista Garden Club. Each month, a member of the Bella Vista Garden Club creates an original floral design to be displayed for patron enjoyment.

Hours of Operation

Regular library hours are 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with weekend hours of 9 p.m.-5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Bella Vista Public Library is located just east of Town Center off Lancashire Blvd. (Hwy 340 East, turn at the Bella Vista Baptist Church) as 11 Dickens Place.
