Mon­day, July 17

7:39 a.m. Po­lice re­ceived re­ports that sev­eral mail­boxes were van­dal­ized on Tay­lor Drive.

11:52 a.m. A driver in a blue Hyundai was fol­low­ing an­other driver and yelling out the win­dow.

7:13 p.m. Fire­fight­ers put out a trash fire be­hind the build­ing at 8830 W. McNelly Road.

Tues­day, July 18

8:08 a.m. Bella Vista po­lice ar­rested Ni­cholas Long, 38, on Cedars Lane and trans­ferred him to Rogers Po­lice, who had prob­a­ble cause to make an ar­rest. Long was charged with third de­gree as­sault on a fam­ily mem­ber, vi­o­la­tion of a no-con­tact or­der, theft of prop­erty and unau­tho­rized use of a ve­hi­cle.

9:33 p.m. Some­one turned in a wal­let found near the in­ter­sec­tion of U.S. High­way 71 and Ben­ton County Road 40.

9:44 p.m. Po­lice checked on a Leona Drive home af­ter the res­i­dent re­port­edly spot­ted some­one in a dark col­ored shirt and hat in the front yard. Af­ter ex­am­in­ing scene, the re­spond­ing of­fi­cer re­ported he be­lieved the spec­ta­cle was caused by rac­coons in a trash can, ac­cord­ing to the dis­patch re­port.

Wed­nes­day, July 19

7:21 a.m. Two pup­pies were spot­ted run­ning loose on Ba­sore Drive.

7:00 p.m. A wa­ter leak was spot­ted shoot­ing 30 to 40 feet into the air by hole 8 at High­lands Golf Course.

10:30 p.m. Two cars were re­port­edly rac­ing near the in­ter­sec­tion of U.S. High­way 71 and Rior­dan Road.

10:45 p.m. A group of peo­ple were re­port­edly par­ty­ing on the swim dock at the Lake Avalon boat ramp.

Thurs­day, July 20

8:22 a.m. Four kids were rid­ing skate­boards on Cam­den Road. The caller called back and said the kids agreed to ride else­where af­ter a po­lite dis­cus­sion about the po­ten­tial risks of rid­ing on the street.

6:51 p.m. Some­one had to stay in their car on Gwalt­ney Cir­cle be­cause dogs were out­side of it. The dogs’ owner was is­sued a ci­ta­tion for dog at large.

Fri­day, July 21

res­i­dent could not get yard work done be­cause some­one parked on their lawn.

2:49 p.m. Adam Ire­land, 29, turned him­self in on a war­rant for fail­ure to ap­pear re­lated to a care­less driv­ing charge.

8:07 p.m. Jonathan Mcallaster, 24, was ar­rested at a Dol­phin Lane house and charged with do­mes­tic as­sault in the third de­gree and ag­gra­vated as­sault on a fam­ily mem­ber.

8:49 p.m. Ian San­ford, 37, was ar­rested and charged with driv­ing while in­tox­i­cated af­ter he was given a field so­bri­ety test dur­ing a traf­fic stop near the in­ter­sec­tion of U.S. High­way 71 and Sun­set Drive.

Satur­day, July 22

1:53 a.m. Daniel Stam­per, 36, was ar­rested on a war­rant for not pay­ing child sup­port and charged with pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance dur­ing a traf­fic stop near the in­ter­sec­tion of Hamp­stead Road and Rad­cliffe Drive.

4:28 a.m. A man was lay­ing off to the side of U.S. High­way 71 near the state line. Po­lice found he was de­hy­drated and gave him a ride else­where.

5:23 p.m. Some­one found two bi­cy­cles in the wa­ter near the Lake Wind­sor Dam.

6:20 p.m. A dog was spot­ted in a sil­ver truck with the windows barely cracked near Dairy Queen off Rior­dan Road.

7:58 p.m. Po­lice dealt with a sick rac­coon on Lil­lian Lane.

Sun­day, July 23

6:56 a.m. Two pit­bull pup­pies were loose on Bright­stone Lane and chas­ing peo­ple who were walk­ing their dogs.

9:10 a.m. A firearm was re­ported stolen from a ve­hi­cle on Pitch­ford Lane.

5:51 p.m. Roy Mor­ing, 32, was ar­rested on a Spring­dale war­rant when po­lice re­sponded to a dis­tur­bance call on Ipswich Drive.

6:39 p.m. A white truck was re­port­edly all over the road on U.S. High­way 71 and the driver was lick­ing a milk jug. The ve­hi­cle crossed the state line be­fore po­lice could catch up.

10:37 p.m. Some­one stole the bat­tery from a car and cut all the ca­bles un­der the hood at the Casey’s Gen­eral Store off Rior­dan Road.
