Monday, July 17
7:39 a.m. Police received reports that several mailboxes were vandalized on Taylor Drive.
11:52 a.m. A driver in a blue Hyundai was following another driver and yelling out the window.
7:13 p.m. Firefighters put out a trash fire behind the building at 8830 W. McNelly Road.
Tuesday, July 18
8:08 a.m. Bella Vista police arrested Nicholas Long, 38, on Cedars Lane and transferred him to Rogers Police, who had probable cause to make an arrest. Long was charged with third degree assault on a family member, violation of a no-contact order, theft of property and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
9:33 p.m. Someone turned in a wallet found near the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and Benton County Road 40.
9:44 p.m. Police checked on a Leona Drive home after the resident reportedly spotted someone in a dark colored shirt and hat in the front yard. After examining scene, the responding officer reported he believed the spectacle was caused by raccoons in a trash can, according to the dispatch report.
Wednesday, July 19
7:21 a.m. Two puppies were spotted running loose on Basore Drive.
7:00 p.m. A water leak was spotted shooting 30 to 40 feet into the air by hole 8 at Highlands Golf Course.
10:30 p.m. Two cars were reportedly racing near the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and Riordan Road.
10:45 p.m. A group of people were reportedly partying on the swim dock at the Lake Avalon boat ramp.
Thursday, July 20
8:22 a.m. Four kids were riding skateboards on Camden Road. The caller called back and said the kids agreed to ride elsewhere after a polite discussion about the potential risks of riding on the street.
6:51 p.m. Someone had to stay in their car on Gwaltney Circle because dogs were outside of it. The dogs’ owner was issued a citation for dog at large.
Friday, July 21
resident could not get yard work done because someone parked on their lawn.
2:49 p.m. Adam Ireland, 29, turned himself in on a warrant for failure to appear related to a careless driving charge.
8:07 p.m. Jonathan Mcallaster, 24, was arrested at a Dolphin Lane house and charged with domestic assault in the third degree and aggravated assault on a family member.
8:49 p.m. Ian Sanford, 37, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he was given a field sobriety test during a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and Sunset Drive.
Saturday, July 22
1:53 a.m. Daniel Stamper, 36, was arrested on a warrant for not paying child support and charged with possession of a controlled substance during a traffic stop near the intersection of Hampstead Road and Radcliffe Drive.
4:28 a.m. A man was laying off to the side of U.S. Highway 71 near the state line. Police found he was dehydrated and gave him a ride elsewhere.
5:23 p.m. Someone found two bicycles in the water near the Lake Windsor Dam.
6:20 p.m. A dog was spotted in a silver truck with the windows barely cracked near Dairy Queen off Riordan Road.
7:58 p.m. Police dealt with a sick raccoon on Lillian Lane.
Sunday, July 23
6:56 a.m. Two pitbull puppies were loose on Brightstone Lane and chasing people who were walking their dogs.
9:10 a.m. A firearm was reported stolen from a vehicle on Pitchford Lane.
5:51 p.m. Roy Moring, 32, was arrested on a Springdale warrant when police responded to a disturbance call on Ipswich Drive.
6:39 p.m. A white truck was reportedly all over the road on U.S. Highway 71 and the driver was licking a milk jug. The vehicle crossed the state line before police could catch up.
10:37 p.m. Someone stole the battery from a car and cut all the cables under the hood at the Casey’s General Store off Riordan Road.
