Stephany Kay Lacy
Stephany Kay Lacy, 79, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice-Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Sept. 3, 1938, in Columbus, Kan., to Robert and Doris Grisham.
She was a graduate of Cherokee County Community High School with the class of 1956.
She and Jay Lacy married on June 15, 1958, in Columbus. She attended Wichita University and Pittsburg State University. She completed her internship in medical technology at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. She obtained her license from the American Society of Clinical Pathologist. She was a long-time employee of Mount Carmel Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan. She also worked in labs in Kansas City, Joplin, Baxter Springs and Bentonville, Ark.
A member of the Presbyterian Church in Columbus, she was an accomplished musician and loved her family. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge. She was a Kansas State sporting events fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jay Lacy; a daughter, Pamela Duley (Earl) of Carrollton, Texas; a son, Benjamin Lacy (Amenda) of Bentonville; a sister, Micki Ward, of Columbus; five grandchildren, Erin Shamlian (Jon) of Dallas, Texas, Jessica Duley of Denton, Texas, Sophia Lacy, Thomas Lacy and John Lacy, all of Bentonville; and a great-grandson.
No services are planned at this time.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
