Bluebird Society needs volunteers

The Weekly Vista - - News -

The Bella Vista Bluebird Society needs volunteers to help in its efforts to conserve bluebirds. The volunteers needed are Trail Bosses for Bluebird Trails. Trail Bosses are maintenance people who repair or replace boxes on the various trails. This work is normally needed after the birds have finished nesting, although there could be repairs needed during the nesting season as well. The society has openings for three Trail Bosses, one each at Dogwood Hills, Kingswood and Scotsdale. BVBBS has 485 boxes on 38 trails located across Bella Vista. Most of the boxes are located on the seven golf courses. Some are on shorter trails in parks and at churches around the village. No experience is needed for these positions. Full training is provided for all of them. Please contact Leon Wehmeyer, president BVBBS, if you can help, at 479-855-1642 or 479-200-0166 (cell), or email at lwehm@sbcglobal.net.
