Laureate Alpha Gamma
The monthly meeting of Laureate Alpha Gamma of Beta Sigma Phi met on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the home of Annette Allsup with Sally Tryon acting as co-hostess. The program was given by Lori Langley. The service project for the month was non-perishable items for the Bella Vista Food Bank and items were brought by all members. The social for the month was brunch at Lakepoint restaurant on Sunday, Nov. 12.
The Nebraska Club of northwest Arkansas has announced plans for their annual Christmas Party. The event will be held Saturday, Dec. 2 at Simple Pleasures Event Center, 13718 Rottbury Drive in Bella Vista. The social hour begins at 5 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner featuring chicken and beef brisket at 6 p.m. The event is open to all former Nebraskans.

Sons of American Revolution
The McKissic Chapter of the Sons of American Revolution will meet in the church chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Methodist Church on 20 Boyce Drive in Bella Vista. The SAR State President Les Magee will report on his work visiting the state chapters.

There will be no meeting of the Bella Vista Calico Cut-Ups quilt guild for November. Our next scheduled meeting is a Christmas luncheon at 11 a.m. Dec. 11. The luncheon will held at the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista. The cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Tickets should be purchased by Dec. 1.

Ozark Hill Hikers
The Ozark Hill Hikers, affiliated with the AVA, invite all interested walkers to join us for a 5K or 10K walk in historic Fort Smith, Ark. on Saturday, Nov. 11. Registration is at 10 a.m. at the Executive Inn, 700 Rogers, Fort Smith.
Sunrise Rotary Club
The Bella Vista Sunrise Rotary Club has a breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. every Wednesday in the Concordia Main Building, 1 Concordia Drive, Bella Vista. Bella Vista Women’s Chorus
Bella Vista Women’s Chorus invites singers from the Tri-County area to join them. All are welcome with no tryouts or experience needed. The chorus performs classical, pop, folk and show tunes for local clubs and events. Rehearsals are Mondays at 12:45 p.m. in the music room of Bella Vista First United Methodist Church. The chorus is available to sing for clubs and events.

Women’s Barbershop Chorus
Perfect Harmony Women’s Barbershop Chorus meets every Monday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the choir room of the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista. Director Karen Frankenfeld, will find a part that fits every voice. No previous experience or try outs are required.

The Fly-Tyers Club meetings are every Thursday at Riordan Hall, beginning at 9 a.m. for a social hour followed by a meeting from 10 to 11 a.m. The club is a fishing, conservation, and service organization consisting of approximately 150 members. This group of men and women share a common interest in fishing (both warm and cold-water species) found in the local streams and lakes of Bella Vista. The club also promotes lake conservation, recreational activities, and conducts service projects throughout northwest Arkansas.
Altrusa International of Bentonville/Bella Vista meet at the River Grill in Bentonville at 11:30 a.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. We are an international women’s organization whose focus is children’s literacy. Please join us, all are always welcome.

Pride of the Ozarks Barbershop Chorus
The Pride of the Ozarks Barbershop Chorus meets from 7 to 9 p.m. every Thursday at Innisfree Senior Living Community, 300 Innisfree Circle, Rogers, which is one block east on 24th and Walnut streets. The Woodcarvers Club is made up of both men and women enjoying the art of carving and pyrography (wood burning). Members share their talents and ideas in the weekly meetings from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays at Riordan Hall. The club is made up of beginners, in-between to very experienced carvers. The club has a library of carving books and for those needing ideas. Come by and visit and perhaps join for a nominal yearly fee. The Bella Vista Woodcarvers Club is a nonprofit organization and has 48 members to date and growing.
