▲ Hobbs State Park of­fers ea­gle watch cruises, sun­set cruises, and spe­cial din­ner cruises and, for the first time, is team­ing up with the North­west Arkansas Audubon So­ci­ety for two Novem­ber loon cruises. The last loon cruise will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Satur­day, Nov. 18 at the Rocky Branch Ma­rina. This is an adult-only tour and the cost is $10 per adult (13 and up). ▲ The Bella Vista His­tor­i­cal Mu­seum will host a “Liv­ing His­tory of World War I” in recog­ni­tion of the 100th an­niver­sary this year of the U.S. en­ter­ing that war, led by mu­seum do­cent Tim Wicks, at 2 p.m. on Satur­day, Nov. 18. The men will rep­re­sent sev­eral coun­tries while they ex­plain and demon­strate their equip­ment. A tem­po­rary ex­hibit about the war is on dis­play now at the mu­seum through the end of Novem­ber. Ad­mis­sion is free. ▲ Dutch Oven Work­shop at Hobbs State Park — Par­tic­i­pants will learn how to care for cast iron and cook a three-course meal to en­joy to­gether. Par­tic­i­pants will also re­ceive a Dutch Oven Cook­ing guide­book. The work­shop will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Satur­day, Nov. 18, and cost $40, plus tax, per per­son, with pre-pay­ment and reg­is­tra­tion re­quired. ▲ Wish­ing Spring Gallery will host a Christ­mas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the stu­dio be­hind the gallery, at 8852 W. McKnelly Road in Bella Vista. Lots of Christ­mas items, hand­made by lo­cal ex­hibitors, will be avail­able.

▲ The Plaza Se­nior In­de­pen­dent Liv­ing Co­op­er­a­tive at 1 High­lands Cross­ing Drive, is hav­ing an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sun­day, Nov. 19. ▲ “Dif­fer­ent Strokes/Dif­fer­ent Folks” Stroke and Trau­matic Brain In­jury Sup­port Group meets the fourth Tues­day of each month at Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 For­est Hills Blvd. in Bella Vista. The next meet­ing will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tues­day, Nov. 28. All stroke or trau­matic brain in­jury sur­vivors, their fam­i­lies, friends and care­givers are wel­come to at­tend. ▲ The 29th An­nual Cookie Walk, spon­sored by High­lands Church will take place Satur­day, Dec. 2, at the church, 371 Glas­gow Road in Bella Vista. Doors open at 8 a.m. and the “walk” be­gins at 8:30 a.m. It will last un­til all the cook­ies are gone. Also of in­ter­est is a Cof­fee Shoppe, Sweet Shoppe and Hand-made Crafts for hol­i­day gift giv­ing. The cost per can is $12. First come, first served, and there are no pre-or­ders.
