An­nual He­roes Gala

Satur­day, April 21, the Sheep Dog Im­pact As­sis­tance (SDIA) held its sixth an­nual He­roes Gala at the John Q. Ham­mons Cen­ter in Rogers. The Gala in­cluded a ban­quet, pre­sen­ta­tion of awards, speeches and a dance. Ma­rine Corps Sgt. Ma­jor Lance Nutt (cen­ter) is the founder and cur­rent Com­man­der of SDIA. War­rant Of­fi­cer For­rest Strick­ler (Ret), right, was hon­ored for his gal­lantry dur­ing the Bat­tle of the Bulge.

Strick­ler is 96 years old and lives in Bella Vista as does Spe­cial Forces (Green Beret),

Lt. Colonel, Jim Par­sons (Ret), left, who also at­tended the Gala. The Gala hosted ap­prox­i­mately 800 at­ten­dees from 13 states.
