Fly ty­ing classes be­gin for the sea­son

The Bella Vista Fly Tyers Club be­gan fish­ing fly ty­ing classes on Sept. 17. Classes for in­tro­duc­tory and ad­vance tyers are held at Rior­dan Hall ev­ery Mon­day, con­tin­u­ing through March of 2019. The in­tro­duc­tory class is taught by club mem­ber Gary Row­land. Twenty-two mem­bers at­tended the first class for this year. Class mem­bers have an op­por­tu­nity to learn a hobby which could last a life­time and en­joy a great so­cial at­mos­phere.

The Bella Vista Fly Tyers Club is a fish­ing, con­ser­va­tion and ser­vice club con­sist­ing of ap­prox­i­mately 150 mem­bers. This group of men and women share a com­mon in­ter­est in fish­ing (both warm and cold-wa­ter species) found in the lo­cal streams and lakes of Bella Vista. The club also pro­motes lake con­ser­va­tion, recre­ational ac­tiv­i­ties and con­ducts ser­vice projects through­out North­west Arkansas.

The club meets at 9 a.m. ev­ery Thurs­day in Rior­danHallinBel­laVista for a so­cial hour fol­lowed by a meet­ing from 10 to 11 a.m.
