Kathryn ‘Elaine’ Ex­ten, for­merly of eoward Street, died Mon­day morn­ing, Dec. 1T, 2012, at her home in Warmin­ster. She was 90.

Mrs. Ex­ten was born June 24, 1922, in iis­bon, Ohio, a daugh­ter of Arthur i. and Kathryn Mor­ris Evans Sr., and had lived in the Columbiana area most of her life.

Elaine was a teacher for the Fair­field­Lkew Water­ford schools and then the iis­bon School District.

She was a mem­ber of the First Chris­tian Church of Columbiana. Elaine was also a mem­ber and past ma­tron of the former Columbiana Chap­ter of the East­ern Star and cur­rently the East Pales­tine Chap­ter P81 Or­der of East­ern Star, mem­ber and past royal ma­tron of Amaranth Akron Court R, past wor­thy high priest of White Shrine and was the old­est sur­viv­ing past pres­i­dent of the Ben­jamin Fire­stone Post 290 Amer­i­can ie­gion Aux­il­iary in Columbiana.

eer hus­band, Robert E. Ex­ten Sr., whom she mar­ried June 14, 194T, died June 8, 2000.

She is sur­vived by three sons, Dr. Robert Ex­ten Jr. EDe­braF of Mans­field, Re­tired it. Col. Arthur Ex­ten of iime­stone, Tenn., and Ray­mond Ex­ten EMelis­saF of Chal­font; nine grand­daugh­ters, one grand­son; and sev­eral great-grand­chil­dren.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she was pre­ceded in death by two sis­ters, Grace Eck­stein and Jaque­line Evans; a brother, Arthur i. Evans Jr.; and a grand­daugh­ter, Kris­tine Ex­ten.

Funeral ser­vices will be held at 11 a.m. Satur­day, Dec. 22, at War­rick­Kum­mer-Ret­tig Funeral eome, Columbiana, Ohio, with Clarence Mans­field, Min­is­ter of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial will fol­low in Columbiana Ceme­tery where East­ern Star Ser­vices will be held. Friends may call from R to T p.m. Fri­day, at the funeral home where an Amaranth Ser­vice will be held at T p.m. and also one hour prior to the ser­vice on Satur­day at the funeral home ster. Paul will be laid to rest in St. John keu­mann Ceme­tery, War­ring­ton Town­ship.

In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions in me­mory of Paul F. Petrun Sr. may be sent to Abing­ton eospice at Warmin­ster Cam­pus, 22R kew­town Road, Warmin­ster PA, 189T4.
