Kathryn “Elaine” Exten
Kathryn ‘Elaine’ Exten, formerly of eoward Street, died Monday morning, Dec. 1T, 2012, at her home in Warminster. She was 90.
Mrs. Exten was born June 24, 1922, in iisbon, Ohio, a daughter of Arthur i. and Kathryn Morris Evans Sr., and had lived in the Columbiana area most of her life.
Elaine was a teacher for the FairfieldLkew Waterford schools and then the iisbon School District.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Columbiana. Elaine was also a member and past matron of the former Columbiana Chapter of the Eastern Star and currently the East Palestine Chapter P81 Order of Eastern Star, member and past royal matron of Amaranth Akron Court R, past worthy high priest of White Shrine and was the oldest surviving past president of the Benjamin Firestone Post 290 American iegion Auxiliary in Columbiana.
eer husband, Robert E. Exten Sr., whom she married June 14, 194T, died June 8, 2000.
She is survived by three sons, Dr. Robert Exten Jr. EDebraF of Mansfield, Retired it. Col. Arthur Exten of iimestone, Tenn., and Raymond Exten EMelissaF of Chalfont; nine granddaughters, one grandson; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Eckstein and Jaqueline Evans; a brother, Arthur i. Evans Jr.; and a granddaughter, Kristine Exten.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at WarrickKummer-Rettig Funeral eome, Columbiana, Ohio, with Clarence Mansfield, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery where Eastern Star Services will be held. Friends may call from R to T p.m. Friday, at the funeral home where an Amaranth Service will be held at T p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home ster. Paul will be laid to rest in St. John keumann Cemetery, Warrington Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paul F. Petrun Sr. may be sent to Abington eospice at Warminster Campus, 22R kewtown Road, Warminster PA, 189T4.
