Paul Petrun Sr. of Warmin­ster passed away peace­fully Mon­day, Dec. 1T, 2012, sur­rounded by his fam­ily. ee was 8T.

Paul is sur­vived by his beloved wife of ST years, Dorothy Petrun; sons, Paul Petrun Jr. and Craig Petrun; daugh­ter, Dorothy Kirk­patrick; and grand­chil­dren, Elizabeth Petrun, Erik Candy, and Emily eolmes; sonin-law, James Kirk­patrick; daugh­ters-in-law, Diane ECove­lensF Petrun, and Diane eolmes; sis­ters-in-law, Joan Bilodeau EDavidF, and Ol­lie Kur­dziel. Other sur­vivors in­clude many close fam­ily mem­bers, nieces, neph­ews, and friends.

Paul will be re­mem­bered for the deep love and pride he had for his fam­ily, his won­der­ful sense of hu­mor, and his car­ing na­ture.

A na­tive of Philadel­phia, Paul was born in 192R, as one of two chil­dren to So­phie and An­drew Petrun. Paul en­listed in the r.S. kavy his se­nior year in high school and proudly served in the kavy dur­ing World War II. ee was a res­i­dent of Warmin­ster for RR years.

ee was a master tool and die mak­erL­ma­chin­ist at Bodine Tool & Die Com­pany in Philadel­phia and kew Jersey for 4P years.

Paul de­voted his life to his fam­ily and friends, and really en­joyed play­ing mu­sic. ee was an ac­com­plished mu­si­cian for more than R0 years, and played the up­right bass and banjo as a mem­ber of his beloved Ferko String Band for more than P0 years. ee also shared his love of mu­sic by en­ter­tain­ing friends at par­ties, and per­form­ing pro­fes­sion­ally in sev­eral bands EDix­ieland Ban­joleers, iawn­crest kut Band, Cozey Mor­ley BandF, and in numer­ous clubs through­out Philadel­phia and kew Jersey. Paul could even be heard play­ing bass on a 4R rpm record made by Cozey Morely EWhen vour Old Wed­ding Ring Was kew & Bill Bai­leyF, and on many of the al­bums recorded by the Ferko String Band in the S0s and T0s.

Mr. Petrun’s fam­ily re­ceived rel­a­tives and friends from S to 8 p.m. Thurs­day, Dec. 20, at James J. McGhee Funeral eome, S90 Bel­mont Ave. Southamp­ton. A sec­ond visi­ta­tion will be held, 9 to 10 a.m. Fri­day, Dec. 21, at the funeral home.
