The Haver­ford School bounced ANC out of states with a 76-58 win. The Lions fought hard in the sec­ond half, but they could not re­cover from a 21-6 Haver­ford run Ln WKH firVW TuDrWHr. 7KHy wHrH within 20 at half­time, but time was not on their side and they sim­ply ran out of gas.

“We pressed well and fought hard through­out the game,” ANC coach Kevin Givens said. “It was a great ef­fort, blood, sweat and tears. I’m really proud of how they played in the game and how they have played this sea­son. We were out­VLzHG DnG wH DrH young, EuW they played their hearts out.”

ANC was led by Dar­ryl Bryant, who had 25 points and nine re­bounds on WKH nLgKW. 9LncH -DcNVon also contributed 11 points, but hav­ing just two play­ers in dou­ble-dig­its was not HnougK Wo NHHS uS wLWK WKH po­tent Haver­ford of­fense.

“We got out­re­bounded badly,” Givens said. “They had 19 of­fen­sive re­bounds. They really beat us up on the boards be­cause we don’t have a player above 6-2.”

“We av­er­aged about 18 turnovers a game in the be­gin­ning of the sea­son and have cut that down to seven or eight, so we have im­proved,” Givens said. “We have a bunch of small guards, so we need to get in the weight room DnG gHW VWrongHr. WH DOVo WDNH ex­pe­ri­ence from this sea­son. It was a sur­prise that we made LW Wo VWDWHV, EuW , WKLnN WKLngV OooN gooG Ior uV.”
