Iocal police hosting academy
The Horsham and the Hatboro police departments is inviting area residents, 18 years of age or older, to attend the 17th Citizen’s PoliceAcademy. The Horsham and Hatboro Police Department Citizens Police Academy will be a free 10-week course that will take place on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m., beginning Feb. 20, with graduation planned for April 24.
The course will include an overview of the police department and the administration. Topics will include accident investigations, the Pennsylvania crimes code and vehicle code, Police .-9, fiUH DUPV, uVH RI IRUFH, drug awareness, crime scene processing and other topics. 3ROLFH RIfiFHUV IURP HRUsham and Hatboro as well as other agencies will instruct the classes. At the completion of the course there will be a graduation ceremony and participants will be DwDUGHG D FHUWLfiFDWH Ey WKH Police Commanders of the Horsham and Hatboro Police Departments. The graduates will become members of the Horsham and Hatboro Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni.
