Dr. Chris Royce “Royce” Ras­mussen, 81, passed away Fri­day, Feb. 8, 2013, at home in Lans­dale, Pa. He was the hus­band of Ca­role (Fai­son) Ras­mussen.

Royce was born in Tren­ton, Neb., and grew up in Ober­lin, han. He grad­u­ated from Ft. Hays State Univer­sity and served two years in the U.S. Army. He then at­tended the Univer­sity of hansas, where he re­ceived his Ph.D. and later com­pleted post-grad­u­ate work at the Univer­sity of In­di­ana Bloom­ing­ton. Royce would go on to spend his en­tire ca­reer at John­son & John­son/ McNeil Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals as a medic­i­nal chemist. His great loves were his fam­ily, his church, mu­sic and hansas Jay­hawks bas­ket­ball.

In ad­di­tion to his wife, Royce is sur­vived by his chil­dren: Chris Paul (Jayne), Dr. Eric Peter (Nancy), Carl Fredric (Su­san) and Roald Mark (Cyn­thia); eight grand­chil­dren: helsey, Me­gan, hyle, Ti­mothy, hevin, Evan, Ha­ley and Sarah; his sis­ter, Jane Daume (Jim); brother, Rex (Nancy); his step-chil­dren: Matthew Reid Wil­liams (Su­san sath), Elis­a­beth Fai­son Wil­liams, Dr. Laura Lee Wil­liams (Dr. Frank Carner); and four step-grand­chil­dren: Alexan­dra, Sarah, Daniel and Matthew. He is also sur­vived by his former wife, Carolyn Ann (Miller) Ras­mussen.

The funeral ser­vice will be held Thurs­day, Feb. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Trin­ity Evan­gel­i­cal Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main Street, Lans­dale, PA 19446. The fam­ily will re­ceive vis­i­tors pre­ced­ing the ser­vices be­gin­ning at 10 am.

Ar­range­ments are by Huff & Lak­jer Funeral Home, Lans­dale. of Lima, North Wales. She re­tired from Spring­field Town­ship Li­brary in 2005 af­ter 17 years of em­ploy­ment. In re­cent years, she vol­un­teered her time to laun­der the al­tar li­nens at her par­ish.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band of 58 years, Al­bert Spencer Tad­dei; and is the de­voted mother of Michael S. and Laura (McLaugh­lin) Tad­dei of Ri­d­ley Park, Mary S. and John DePaul of Maple Glen, Ber­nadette S. Tad­dei of Maple Glen, Cather­ine S. and Grant Rogers of Wood­bridge, sa, and Matthew S. and Laura (Gido) Tad­dei of Malvern. She is the lov­ing grand­mother of An­thony, Richard, Jack, hevin, Sarah, sin­cent, Ti­mothy, Colin, Pa­trick, Josh, Rachel, Dil­lon and Meg.

Rel­a­tives and friends called Mon­day, Feb. 11, 2013, from 9:30 to 11a.m. at St. Alphon­sus Church, 1565 Tem­ple Drive, Maple Glen, with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Ed­ward Hal­li­nan as cel­e­brant. In­ter­ment was in St. John Neu­mann Ceme­tery, Chal­font.

She was pre­de­ceased by a son, Don­ald A. Duk­ert Jr., hus­band of Lynne Duk­ert of Walling­ford, Pa.; and a sis­ter, Rose­marie Blaszczyk.

A Mass of Chris­tian Burial was cel­e­brated on Satur­day, Feb. 9, 2013, in Im­mac­u­late Con­cep­tion RC Church, 905 Ch­est­nut St., Dou­glassville, Union Town­ship, Pa. In­ter­ment was in Whitemarsh Me­mo­rial Park, Am­bler.
