Charges pending … Charges of possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and related charges are pending against Brain Wladyka,19, of Boxwood Road, Southampton, after police stopped a vehicle June 4 at Thompson and Kruger roads at 12:54 a.m. and detected an odor of alcohol and marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, police said. Police searched the vehicle and confiscated a backpack that contained plastic bags with suspected marijuana, prescription pills, $463 cash and various other items, police said. Wladyka, a passenger in the vehicle, admitted the bag was his and he was taken into custody and transported to the Abington Police Department, police said. During a search at the station, authorities confiscated more prescription pills that were hidden on Wladyka’s person, police said.
Simple assault … Michael nueenan, 52, of Easton Road, Glenside, was charged with simple assault and harassment June 1 after he choked his girlfriend during a dispute about bill payments at the Rosemore Garden Apartments in the 200 block of Easton Road at 7:35 p.m., police said.
Possession … Eric R. Reese, 40, of Lincoln Drive West, Ambler, was charged with possessing controlled substances and drug paraphernalia June 4 after Abington Memorial Hospital staff confiscated Oxycodone pills from Reese, which he did not have a prescription for, while treating him following a vehicle accident in the Hollywood section of Abington Township at 12 p.m., police said.
Identity theft … Ayana R. Gazader, 22, of East 38th Street, Brooklyn, k.v., was charged with identity theft, using a stolen credit card, theft by deception and possessing an instrument of crime June 8 after she attempted to purchase $4,994.37 worth of merchandise at the Macy’s in the Willow Grove Park mall with a fraudulent credit card at 8:30 p.m., police said. After two attempts, the transaction was declined, and she left the store, police said. Minutes later, authorities observed Gazader exiting Bloomingdale’s, police said. She was taken into custody, police said.
Aggravated assault … Lewis Steele, 59, of Birchwood Avenue, Roslyn, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct June 8 after he placed a knife to the neck of his son-in-law at 9:14 p.m. inside a residence in the 1400 block of Birchwood Avenue, police said. Steele admitted to placing the knife at his son-in-law’s neck because he allegedly disrespected his daughter and granddaughter.
Retail theft … Cornell B. Garrett, 51, of Hilltop Avenue, Wyncote, was charged with retail theft and possession and receiving stolen property June 10 after Giant Food Store security observed Garrett select $158.46 worth of merchandise, conceal them in a plastic bag and attempt to leave the store without paying at the Giant in the 2300 block of Susquehanna Road at 6:41 p.m., police said.
Aggravated assault … Craig Graham, 47, of Ruscombe Avenue, korth Hills, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct June 16 after he picked up a shovel and struck a victim in the head several times after Graham and the victim got into a dispute after the victim was heard firing fireworks in the 200 block of Ruscombe Avenue at 9:20 p.m., police said. Graham’s son Kyle, 23, of Ruscombe Avenue, korth Hills, was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after he punched the victim in the eye, police said.
Aggravated assault … Kevin Tulish, 28, of Hamilton Avenue, was charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and terroristic threats June 17 after he pulled a gun from his pants waistband and put it to a victim’s head during a dispute about money in the 2100 block of Hamilton Avenue 9:29 p.m., police said. Tulish was taken into custody and the gun was confiscated, police said.
Robbery … Raquel D. Scott, 23, of West korth san Pelt Street, Philadelphia, was charged with robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, retail theft, receiving stolen property and harassment June 18 after Bloomingdale’s security at the Willow Grove Park mall observed Scott conceal $1,565 worth of merchandise and leave the store without paying at 8:55 p.m., police said. Security approached Scott as she exited the store and attempted to apprehend her, police said. Scott began to struggle with security and an unidentified male held the guard down while she struck him in the face with her fist and cell phone and then the male fled the scene, police said. The guard, who suffered from facial injuries, was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital for treatment, police said.
Public drunkenness … Joseph Pavlovich, 60, of Tyson Avenue, Glenside, was cited with public drunkenness June 1 after police responded to the 2200 block of Menlo Avenue for the report of a dog biting incident at 8:14 p.m., police said. Police found Pavlovich had been bitten by a dog in a fenced-in yard and also found him to be intoxicated, police said.
Retail theft … Cindy Polasik, 57, of Homestead Avenue, Bradford, was cited with retail theft after Sears security at the Willow Grove Park mall observed Polasik conceal $149 worth of merchandise and attempt to leave the store without paying at 12:17 p.m., police said.
Disorderly conduct … Travis Stadler, 18, of Ivins Avenue, Egg Harbor, k.J., was cited with disorderly conduct June 6 after police stopped a vehicle at Old vork and Township Line roads at 10:12 p.m. and found Stadler to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.
Disorderly conduct … Jamar Floyd, 36, of Primrose Avenue, Philadelphia was cited with disorderly conduct June 6 after police observed him staggering in a parking lot at Huntingdon Pike and Rockledge Avenue at 11:47 p.m., police said. Upon seeing police, Floyd hid behind a truck in the lot, police said. Police approached him and found him to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Disorderly conduct … Terrence Satchell, 32, of Whitaker Avenue, Philadelphia, was cited with disorderly conduct June 7 after police stopped a vehicle at Old Welsh Road and Rubicam Avenue at 2:07 a.m. and found Satchell to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Public drunkenness … Brian Compton, 35, of Heston Street, was cited with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 1100 block of Mildred Avenue June 8 after observing Compton stumbling down the street at 7:04 p.m., police said. Authorities also found Compton to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.
Public drunkenness … Gregory Britton, 37, of Edge Hill Road, was cited with public drunkenness June 10 after police found Britton lying in the parking lot of the Bryner Chevrolet in The Fairway at 4:17 a.m. heavily intoxicated, police said.
DUI … Michael S. Donahue, 29, of Susquehanna Road, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances, public drunkenness and reckless and careless driving June 9 after police observed a Plymouth Acclaim make a loud screeching noise, observed sparks coming from the front of the vehicle and heard the engine racing, police said. The vehicle was stopped in the area of Susquehanna and Old vork roads, and police detected an odor of alcohol coming from Donahue’s mouth, police said. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to Fast Track for breath tests, police said. He was later transported to the Abington Police Department, police said.
