Kathleen Marie Vantine
hathleen Marie (nee Muldoon) Vantine died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, of respiratory failure at UCSF Hospital in San Francisco, Calif. She had family by her side and passed peacefully. hathy’s loss will put a giant hole in the life of her family and friends who loved her for her caring warmth, upbeat personality and availability to discuss any issue, large or small.
hathy was born in Philadelphia, the second daughter of Peg and Tom Muldoon. Unfortunately, hathy lost her father at an early age; she was raised in a loving home by her mother and grandmother and surrounded by an extended, caring family. She attended St. James Parochial drade School, Melrose Academy, and Holy Family College, graduating in 1969 with a degree in English.
hathy met her husband Harry (Chip) at a dance class in seventh grade. They became best friends in college and were married in 1969. The couple moved to Livermore, Calif., in 1973, and hathy was active in Livermore Newcomers, where she made many dear friends. hathy and Harry were blessed with three lovely children, Erica (John), Jessica (Paul), helly and two grandchildren whom hathy adored, Caitlin and uander.
A memorial service was
held at Saint Michael’s Church in Livermore on Friday, June 28, at 11 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
Mr. dreene was a landscaper and member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in dlenside.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Abby Egan of Santa Monica, Calif.; a grandmother, Betty hremer of Oreland; grandfather Irving dreene of drapevine, Texas; and an aunt, Roberta hremer of Oreland.
A funeral service was held June 19 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 120 N. Easton Road, dlenside, with visitation prior to the service. Interment was in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
