Emergency shelter offering 49 beds open for homeless

Longmont’s HOPE — Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragem­ent — has opened its emergency weather shelter at Journey Church, 2000 Pike Road.

Individual­s can use the emergency shelter for one night before they are required to call Coordinate­d Entr y, he said.

HOPE also has a day shelter open 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday through Friday at Journey Church, according to the website. A day shelter is open noon to 6 p.m. Saturdays at Faithpoint office and warehouse, 804 S. Lincoln St.

Schwar tz said. Individual­s can charge their phones, access the internet and connect with case management.

The emergency shelter is opened sporadical­ly through the winter,
