THREATS » A thin, black male, early 20s, 5 feet 4 inches, with a dark complexion and no facial hair, wearing a black hoodie pulled up over his head, dark pants and white sneakers, walked up to a vehicle in the 1400 block of Willow Avenue at 10:09 p.m. Sept. 11, tapped on the window and cursed at the victim and brandished what appeared to be a black, semi-automatic handgun, and the victim drove away, police said. WARRANT » Phillip Tilghman, 45, of the 400 block of Spruce Street, Philadelphia, was taken into custody on multiple Montgomery County warrants charging him with retail theft after officers responded to a report at 2:15 p.m. Sept. 12 of a suspicious person at Wyncote Towers in the 8400 block of Limekiln Pike, police said. He was charged by Cheltenham police with providing false identification to police, police said. of North Park Avenue, Philadelphia, was cited for retail theft after taking $84.32 in goods from Shop Rite, 2471 W. Cheltenham Ave., Wyncote, at 8:01 a.m. Sept. 13, police said. Jones also had an outstanding Philadelphia warrant charging him with retail theft, police said. RETAIL THEFT » A male stole two nail guns and a Dewalt gun, valued between $400 and $600, from Home Depot, 7690 Washington Lane, at 5:21 p.m. Sept. 13 and fled in a waiting pickup truck operated by male last seen northbound on Washington Lane, police said.
RETAIL THEFT » A male in this 50s to 60s stole $138 worth of goods from Fresh Grocer, 1000 S. Easton Road, at 7:07 p.m. Sept. 13 and fled in a dark blue Volvo, but the merchandise was recovered, police said. ARMEDROBBERY» Two males, both armed with handguns, stole $260 in cash during a robbery at the Rite Aid, 1401 Cheltenham Ave., at 12:43 a.m. Sept. 14 and fled on foot toward Broad Street, police said.
ASSAULT » A male in his 60s approached an employee hanging decorations in the front of Target, 2450 Shoppers Lane, at 7:59 a.m. Sept. 14, said there was something on the employee’s back and struck the victim in the back three times, police said. FRAUD » A resident reported Sept. 14 being scammed out of $7,000 by a male from South Africa, police said.
THEFT » A purse was taken from a vehicle found with the window broken out at 10:02 a.m. Sept. 15 at Wall Park, 1 Wall Park Drive, police said. Credit cards in the purse were used at the Walmart at Cedarbrook Plaza, police said. Three other vehicles parked at the park also had windows broken out and purses stolen from inside them, police said. ACCIDENT » A vehicle struck the front door of Dental Solutions, 1000 S. Easton Road, at 11:22 a.m. Sept. 16, but no one was injured, police said. ASSAULT » Warrants have been issued for Alexis Smith, 21, of the 7500 block of Walnut Lane, Philadelphia; and Jymir Caihorn, 22, of the 100 block of West Hansberry Street, Philadelphia, charging each with simple assault, conspiracy and harassment, police said. Smith allegedly called Caihorn to Hair Town, 2401 Cheltenham Ave., at 5:52 p.m. May 15, where an employee who had fired Smith was allegedly punched in the face by Caihorn, police said.
FRAUD » A resident reported Sept. 14 that fraudulent charges were made to the victim’s credit card, police said. CHARGES PENDING » Charges of driving under the influence are pending against Darryl Devose, 38, of the 1500 block of Beverly Road, Philadelphia, after officers found him unresponsive behind the wheel of his vehicle, which was stopped at 6 a.m. Sept. 16 at Washington Lane and Greenwood Avenue, police said. Devose was transported to Abington Hospital for a blood test, and charges are pending the results, police said.
