Township launches first ever Restau­rant Week

Chel­tenham Township will hold its first an­nual Restau­rant Week: Eat. Drink. Chel­tenham!

The week-long restau­rant pro­mo­tion is a cel­e­bra­tion of Chel­tenham’s din­ing scene that pro­vides an op­por­tu­nity for din­ers to en­joy din­ners from the area’s best chefs for seven days.

Restau­rant Week runs from Satur­day, Sept. 22, to Satur­day, Sept. 29.

Ten of Chel­tenham Township’s restau­rants will of­fer fine cui­sine at a great value with spe­cial three­and four-course din­ner spe­cials, priced be­tween $20 and $35 per per­son.

Al­most all of the restau­rants are a BYOB or have a full-ser­vice bar. Each restau­rant cre­ated its own spe­cial just for Restau­rant Week, and many in­clude prix-fixe menus. All the spe­cials and de­tails can be found on CheltResWeek. com.

The 10 par­tic­i­pat­ing restau­rants are:

• Anne’s Kitchen Table, 11 Wes­ley Plaza, Glen­side

• Chef Var­gas, 7900 Old York Road, Elkins Park

• Glen­side Ale House, 17 Limekiln Pike, Glen­side

• Glen­side Pub, 122 S. Eas­ton Road, Glen­side

• Jasmine Asian Bistro, 138 S. Eas­ton Road, Glen­side

• Marco Polo Ris­torante & Bar, 8080 Old York Road, Elkins Park

• Park Plates, 7852 Mont­gomery Ave., Elkins Park

• Robert’s Block, 2 Roberts Ave., Glen­side

• Trevi, 21 East Glen­side Ave., Glen­side

Chel­tenham Township’s Eco­nomic Devel­op­ment TaskForce (EDTF) is fo­cused on help­ing are busi­nesses thrive. Restau­rant Week was cre­ated by the EDTF to high­light Chel­tenham’s di­verse din­ing scene and is in­tended to be an an­nual pro­mo­tion.

“Eat. Drink. Chel­tenham! is an op­por­tu­nity to high­light the unique lo­cal din­ing venues in Chel­tenham,” said Dwight Pe­dro Lewis, chair­man of the Chelt­ne­ham Township Eco­nomic Devel­op­ment Task Force. “We hope you will take the op­por­tu­nity to bring your friends and fam­ily out to sup­port our lo­cal busi­nesses and find a new fa­vorite meal or restau­rant along the way.”

Restau­rant Week: Eat. Drink. Chel­tenham! is funded by Chel­tenham Township and its spon­sors, DC In­te­ri­ors LLC, Firstrust Bank, Boucher & James Inc., Wisler Pearl­s­tine LLP; GLP Ar­chi­tects PC, Midgard Prop­er­ties LP and Jenk­in­town Build­ing Ser­vices Inc.

“We are grate­ful to our vol­un­teers on the Eco­nomic Devel­op­ment Task Force who have spent count­less hours or­ga­niz­ing this event and to our event spon­sors, who haver gra­ciously un­der­writ­ten the costs of this event, which will high­light our won­der­ful lo­cal eater­ies,” said Daniel B. Nor­ris, pres­i­dent of the Chelt­ne­ham Township Board of Com­mis­sion­ers.
