John Wood­ward Klopp, 88, on Sep­tem­ber

22, 2018, beloved hus­band of El­iz­a­beth, brother, fa­ther, grand­fa­ther, and un­cle.

He was raised in Philadel­phia, at­tended Pen­ny­packer Pub­lic Ele­men­tary, Ger­man­town Friends Academy, and grad­u­ated from Cor­nell Univer­sity. Af­ter grad­u­a­tion, John served in the U.S. Navy as En­gi­neer­ing Of­fi­cer aboard USS HAI­LEY. Fol­low­ing the Navy, he worked briefly with At­lantic Re­fin­ery fol­lowed by a long ca­reer at Su­pe­rior Tube Com­pany as Chief En­gi­neer and con­sul­tant af­ter re­tire­ment. John and Libby resided for many years at their Telford home where they raised their three sons Richard, John A, and Karl. For the past five years, John and Libby have resided at Peter Becker Com­mu­nity in Har­leysville. John is sur­vived by Libby, brother Don­ald, three sons, and eight grand­chil­dren.
