CCPS sets com­mu­nity en­gage­ment

DEN­TON — The Caro­line County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion will host What Counts, a com­mu­nity en­gage­ment night, to get com­mu­nity in­put to be used in the de­vel­op­ment of the school sys­tem’s strate­gic plan.

Mary­land Association of Boards of Ed­u­ca­tion staff and com­mu­nity stake­hold­ers will fa­cil­i­tate this event, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Mon­day, Dec. 12, at Den­ton El­e­men­tary School, 303 Sharp Road, Den­ton.

What Counts asks par­ents, staff, stu­dents, com­mu­nity mem­bers, lo­cal busi­nesses and elected of­fi­cials what mat­ters to them in the school sys­tem, what they value, what is im­por­tant and what counts when as­sess­ing the school sys­tem’s pro­duc­tiv­ity and suc­cess for its stu­dents.

Any­one in­ter­ested and able to at­tend should RSVP to Vi­vian Fisher, ad­min­is­tra­tive as­sis­tant to Su­per­in­ten­dent John D. Ewald and the Board of Ed­u­ca­tion, at Fisher.Vi­vian@ no later than Mon­day, Nov. 28.
