Preston Historical Society hosting open house Dec. 3
PRESTON — The Preston Historical Society will host its third annual Christmas Open House, “A Very Vintage Christmas,” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at its museum at 167 Main Street, Preston. Guests will see the building decorated for the holiday while enjoying homemade cookies and refreshments.
They also will have a chance to win door prizes and participate in a 50/50 raffle, and goody bags will be handed out to children.
The society will be selling Christmas cookies as well as its second annual Christmas ornament, featuring the old Preston School which stood from 1918 to 1971, the cost is $16.94. A limited number of 2015 ornament, featuring the Noble House, also are for sale.
The museum also will be open on Saturday, Dec. 10, which will be the last day the museum is open for the 2016 calendar year.
