EAS­TON — Mar vin R. Pip­pin of Eas­ton, Md., died at his home on Wed­nes­day, Nov. 30, 2016. He was 89 years old.

Born in White­leys­burg, Md., Mr. Pip­pin was the son of the late Roland Beal Pip­pin and Mil­dred Car­roll Pip­pin. He was a 1944 grad­u­ate of the Greens­boro High School and served in the Mer­chant Marines dur­ing WWII. He was a re­tired au­di­tor for the State of Mary- land. He had been a mem­ber of the Caro­line Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 29 and the VFW Memo­rial Post 7937. He was also a mem­ber of St. Mark’s UMC and the Hyde Parker’s Club.

Mr. Pip­pin is sur­vived by his wife, Ruth A. Pip­pin of Eas­ton; two sons, M. Alan Pip­pin (Bar­bara) and Larry C. Pip­pin, both of Den­ton, Md.; one daugh­ter, Penny Co­hey (Bart) of Cor­dova; a sis­ter, Carol Deim­ler of Dover, Del.; four grand­chil­dren, Christy Thomp­son (Budd), Melissa McHenry (Todd), Robin Breed­ing (Tyler) and Adam Caw­ley (Cait­lyn); six great-grand­chil­dren, Emily, Me­gan, Mor­gan, Abe, Kit and Pyper.

There will be an 11 a.m. chapel ser­vice on Thurs­day, Dec. 8, in the Eastern Shore Vet­eran’s Ceme­tery, 6827 East New Mar­ket El­wood Road, Hur­lock, MD 21643.
