For lit­tle 6-year-old Diego, be­ing home by him­self was not strange. He was used to be­ing alone and afraid.

It was only af­ter a neigh­bor no­ticed that Diego was by him­self all the time and with­out any­thing to eat that so­cial ser­vices was called, and they came to take him to a bet­ter, safer place to live. Your do­na­tion to The Star
