McC­ly­ment wins county spell­ing bee

DEN­TON — Lita McC­ly­ment, a fifth-grader at Fed­er­als­burg Ele­men­tary School, won the 41st an­nual Caroline County Spell­ing Bee, Wed­nes­day, Oct. 25, at the Caroline County Pub­lic Li­brary in Den­ton.

The spell­ing bee, hosted by Teach­ers Can Help, brings to­gether the top three fifth grade spell­ers from each of the county’s five el­e­men­tar y schools.

DEN­TON — Lita McC­ly­ment, a fifth-grader at Fed­er­als­burg Ele­men­tary School, won the 41st an­nual Caroline County Spell­ing Bee, Wed­nes­day, Oct. 25, at the Caroline County Pub­lic Li­brary in Den­ton.

The spell­ing bee, hosted by Teach­ers Can Help, brings to­gether the top three fifth grade spell­ers from each of the county’s five el­e­men­tar y schools.

The spell­ing bee went 10 rounds be­fore the over­all top three spell­ers were left. McC­ly­ment won, Rylee Fru­en­gel of Ridgely Ele­men­tary School was sec­ond and Tryn­ton Parks of Fed­er­als­burg Ele­men­tary School was third.
