St. Benedict’s Holiday Bazaar begins Nov. 10
RIDGELY — The St. Benedict/St. Elizabeth Parish 49th Annual Holiday Bazaar will be held Friday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov, 11, in the Parish Social Hall behind St. Benedict Church, 408 Central Avenue in Ridgely.
On Friday evening, Nov. 10, the event will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. A Pot Roast Dinner featuring homemade pot roast with vegetables, rolls, desserts and beverages will be held during Friday’s schedule. Tickets for the dinner are $15 each, and can be purchased by contacting the Church Office at 410-634-2253. Apple dumplings will also be on sale.
The evening will feature live entertainment and an opportunity to start your Christmas shopping with a large variety of vendors.
On Saturday, Nov. 11, doors will open at 8 a.m. for the annual White Elephant Yard Sale. The day also will include live entertainment, a fresh vegetable sale sponsored by the St. Joan of Arc Council Knights of Columbus, a silent auction featuring theme baskets and handmade items, various raffles, children’s activities and pictures with Santa and a delicious breakfast and lunch menu featuring homemade soups and sandwiches and apple dumplings. An array of vendors will be offering their crafts, creations and products.
The event will provide something for all ages to enjoy.
Saturday morning also will feature the ninth annual 5K Run & Fun Walk for the “Well” of It. The race begins at 8 a.m. and all proceeds benefit Lifetime Wells International, the well-drilling ministry of St. Benedict parishioner, Ken Wood, who has drilled over 1,600 wells in Ghana and Tanzania since 2006 to provide clean, safe water to over 1,000,000 people.
