St. Bene­dict’s Hol­i­day Bazaar be­gins Nov. 10

RIDGELY — The St. Bene­dict/St. El­iz­a­beth Par­ish 49th An­nual Hol­i­day Bazaar will be held Fri­day, Nov. 10, and Satur­day, Nov, 11, in the Par­ish So­cial Hall be­hind St. Bene­dict Church, 408 Cen­tral Av­enue in Ridgely.

On Fri­day evening, Nov. 10, the event will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. A Pot Roast Din­ner fea­tur­ing home­made pot roast with veg­eta­bles, rolls, desserts and bev­er­ages will be held dur­ing Fri­day’s sched­ule. Tick­ets for the din­ner are $15 each, and can be pur­chased by con­tact­ing the Church Of­fice at 410-634-2253. Ap­ple dumplings will also be on sale.

The evening will fea­ture live en­ter­tain­ment and an op­por­tu­nity to start your Christ­mas shop­ping with a large va­ri­ety of ven­dors.

On Satur­day, Nov. 11, doors will open at 8 a.m. for the an­nual White Ele­phant Yard Sale. The day also will in­clude live en­ter­tain­ment, a fresh vegetable sale spon­sored by the St. Joan of Arc Coun­cil Knights of Colum­bus, a silent auc­tion fea­tur­ing theme bas­kets and hand­made items, var­i­ous raf­fles, chil­dren’s ac­tiv­i­ties and pic­tures with Santa and a de­li­cious break­fast and lunch menu fea­tur­ing home­made soups and sand­wiches and ap­ple dumplings. An ar­ray of ven­dors will be of­fer­ing their crafts, cre­ations and prod­ucts.

The event will pro­vide some­thing for all ages to en­joy.

Satur­day morn­ing also will fea­ture the ninth an­nual 5K Run & Fun Walk for the “Well” of It. The race be­gins at 8 a.m. and all pro­ceeds ben­e­fit Life­time Wells In­ter­na­tional, the well-drilling min­istry of St. Bene­dict parish­ioner, Ken Wood, who has drilled over 1,600 wells in Ghana and Tan­za­nia since 2006 to pro­vide clean, safe wa­ter to over 1,000,000 peo­ple.
