Tuck­a­hoe Treasures plans open house

DEN­TON — Santa Claus is com­ing to Tuck­a­hoe Treasures Al­paca Farm.

Elaine and Glenn Orme will host a Christ­mas open house, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Satur­day, Nov. 25, on their 200-acre farm at 8955 Tuck­a­hoe Road, Den­ton.

Chil­dren an in­vited to bring their Christ­mas lists and visit with Santa. Fam­i­lies also are wel­come to visit with the al­pacas and en­joy tours of the farm.

Ma­gi­cian John Dodge will be per­form­ing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to add to the fun, said Elaine Orme. And a 30-inch stuffed al­paca will be raf­fled.

The Ch­e­sa­peake Clas­sic Car Club will hold a car show at the farm dur­ing the open house.

The Yarn Barn and Coun­try Store will be open for early Christ­mas shop­ping, of­fer­ing yarn, scarves, socks, hats, gloves and sweaters.

Socks made with warm al­paca wool will be dis­counted dur­ing the open house; buy two pairs and get a third half off, Orme said. Any­one who makes a pur­chase dur­ing the open house will get a 20 per­cent off coupon that will be good on all pur­chases through­out De­cem­ber, when sweaters and scarves will be dis­counted. Al­pacas are also for sale. Food will be avail­able.
