MSBR installs new directors, president
— The MidShore Board of Realtors appointed new directors and a new board president at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge Tuesday, Oct. 23.
Immediate Past President Daphne Cawley, an associate broker for Benson and Mangold, emceed most of the event, talking about the board’s overall accomplishments in the past year.
“This year Mid-Shore obtained the national archive triple crown and president cup award,” Cawley said. “One of our goals was to bring SentrLock back to the Mid-Shore. This year we signed into agreement with SentrLock beginning in Febuary, electronic lock boxes for three counties. ... I’m so proud of our board of directors for pushing this.”
Cawley said this year the board decided to offer a resource for young professionals interested in becoming realtors and formed the Rising Real Estate Professional Group. She also said state and national involvement in board of realtors groups had increased.
“Also our involvement in our community, ... We stay involved with Habitat for Humanity, the homeless shelters, hospice and many other charities,” Cawley said. “This year we won the C.A.R.E. award again; five out of the last eight years.”
Dormaim Green, owner of The Property Shoppe, LLC, was sworn into her position as president by Cambridge Mayor Victoria JacksonStanley, who said she was excited to install Green to office.
“I say that because I’ve known Mrs. Green since before she was born,” JacksonStanley said.
Green has served as 2018 President-Elect, Secretary and Board Director for three years and is currently the chairwoman of Mid-Shore Board of Realtor’s Essay and State Fair Housing Art Contests. In 2010 Green was named Mid-Shore Board of Realtor’s rookie realtor of
