Documentary Highlights Wild Mustangs
AMERICAN MUSTANG 3D, a sweeping documentary that brings the plight of America’s wild horses to the big screen, has been released nationwide via Tugg.com, a platform that crowdsources demand for local film screenings.
The documentary, directed by Monty Miranda and narrated by Daryl Hannah, is the first film to capture wild horses in 3D.
To build demand for AMERICAN MUSTANG and interest in the wild horse issue, producers Ellie Phipps Price and Henry Ansbacher turned to Facebook to grow a network of impassioned advocates, and to Kickstarter to raise funds for initial screenings.
Price is one of the country’s leading voices for saving wild horses, working together with the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign (www.wildhorsepreservation.org) to stop the inhumane roundup and government stockpiling of these iconic herds.
The film weaves dramatic documentary footage of horses in the wild with an engaging coming-of-awareness story about a young girl’s growing affection and concern for a newly captured wild mustang.
