Prevent Hock Sores

Trail Rider - - SADDLEBAG SAVVY -

My horse, Q, loves to lie down at night, even when staying somewhere new where the ground may not be cushioned. As he gets up and lies down, he tends to rub the outside of his hocks on the ground, which can create hock sores. To protect Q’s legs no matter where he lies down, I outfit him with Hock Shields (www.hockshield.com). These lightweight pads stay on well and keep him from chafing his legs. I recommend them when staying overnight in a new area where shavings might not be available. TTR

Outfit your horse with protective hock wear to help him stay comfortable and sore-free when you overnight at a new locale.
