Prevent Aluminum-Floor Corrosion

Trail Rider - - HITCH UP & GO -

Alkaline in manure and urine can quickly corrode an aluminum floor if it’s not periodically washed with soap and water. To help protect your trailer’s aluminum floor from corrosion, consider covering the floor with rubber mats.

Or, the floor may have a coating, such as a Rhino Linings industrial coating (www.rhinoliningsindustrial.com) or a WERM flooring system (www.wermflooring.com).

If the floor is coated, it’s difficult to check the top of the floor for corrosion — you’ll need to inspect the floor from underneath to make sure it’s corrosion-free.
