We don’t have to rely solely on government agencies to fix what is wrong with government or our economy.
Fixing government procurement can have substantial rewards. In the U.S. alone, it could put up to $500-billion back into the American economy where it would stimulate economic activity and create better jobs.
Cutting government waste is an essential and fundamental step towards the strengthening of democracy. We have taken the first step but much more needs to be done.
We need to:
Expand our coverage of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
Publish bidder lists, bid prices, contract awards and actual contracts.
Include opportunities from more private organizations.
Register more suppliers.
Get greater participation from government agencies.
Your help is needed to take this grand project further and realize its full potential. If you want to help, please become a premium member, volunteer, become a sponsor, lobby your local government agencies to participate in your state portal, lobby your state legislators to recognize bids submitted to your state portal as an official public notice of bids, write articles for us, translate bid advertisements from and to French and Spanish, or just tell others about your state portal and the NAPC.
The story of the NAPC is unique and complicated. It is our hope that Trillions will engage readers and enable us to better tell our collective story.
