NAPC members spoke and we listened. Some members of the North America Procurement Council and Trillions readers did not like our profiles of the Presidential candidates in our November issue and do not want Trillions to have any content that might be political in nature.
Others do want us to continue featuring articles on more meaningful and important topics that might be more challenging or controversial. So, we have created a new magazine entitled Traveling Minds. The January issue of Traveling Minds magazine can be found starting January 15th at Travelingminds.us. The site already has numerous articles and will ultimately have new articles almost every day.
The January issue will feature an article on Donald Trump entitled Donald Trump and the Future of America. We encourage everyone to read it.
We had indeed strayed too far from our original intention for Trillions but also feel that there are important topics that need to be explored for the benefit of all. We live in increasingly challenging times and need to be paying attention to the things that matter most, even if they make us feel uncomfortable.
It is only by exploring, understanding and confronting problems that solutions can be realized.
2016 was a good year for many NAPC members and our data indicates that our registered members were awarded contracts worth more than $100 billion from the opportunities they obtained through the NAPC administered portals. This is significant, but only 135,000 of the 2 million NAPC users have elected to register. So there is certainly vastly more in contracts being awarded to visitors of the NAPC portals that we don't yet know about.
2017 may be challenging for many, with rapid political, social and economic changes. But, change also means new needs and the opportunity to fill those needs. As most of us know well, business is all about filling needs. The NAPC will be seeking out ever new and more lucrative opportunities for its members.
This year we will need more users to step up and help carry the load. We will be offering more paid services and opportunities for members and unregistered users to contribute for the benefit of all.
