Po­lice: Man robs credit union, then waits out­side for of­fi­cers to ar­rive and ar­rest him

A man re­port­edly walked into a down­town credit union on Thurs­day morn­ing, de­manded money with a note, then waited out­side un­til po­lice ar­rived.

Po­lice were called to Tulsa Fed­eral Credit Union, 401 E. Fourth St., about 11 a.m. on a re­port of a rob­bery.

Re­spond­ing of­fi­cers found the sus­pect, Joseph Mitchell, 36, sit­ting on the east side of the busi­ness in front of the door. He was taken into cus­tody with­out in­ci­dent.

No in­juries were re­ported in the rob­bery.

Mitchell was booked into the Tulsa Jail on a com­plaint of rob­bery with a firearm/dan­ger­ous weapon.

He was be­ing held Thurs­day evening in lieu of $50,000 bond.
