Police: Man robs credit union, then waits outside for officers to arrive and arrest him
A man reportedly walked into a downtown credit union on Thursday morning, demanded money with a note, then waited outside until police arrived.
Police were called to Tulsa Federal Credit Union, 401 E. Fourth St., about 11 a.m. on a report of a robbery.
Responding officers found the suspect, Joseph Mitchell, 36, sitting on the east side of the business in front of the door. He was taken into custody without incident.
No injuries were reported in the robbery.
Mitchell was booked into the Tulsa Jail on a complaint of robbery with a firearm/dangerous weapon.
He was being held Thursday evening in lieu of $50,000 bond.
