Gene Paul Holdridge, 83, of Mount Pleas­ant, SC, and long­time for­mer res­i­dent of Tulsa, OK, hus­band of the late Leota Holdridge, died Fri­day, Novem­ber 10, 2017. His me­mo­rial ser­vice with mil­i­tary hon­ors will be held Satur­day, Novem­ber 18, 2017, in Sea­coast Church Chapel, Mount Pleas­ant Cam­pus, 750 Long Point Road, Mt. Pleas­ant, SC, at 10:30 am. Ar­range­ments by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEAS­ANT CHAPEL.

Gene was born Septem­ber 2, 1934, in DeLeon, TX, son of the late Ho­race Paul Holdridge and Ersel Naomi Co­ley Holdridge. He was an Army vet­eran and served in the Korean War. A car en­thu­si­ast, his ca­reer was in auto sales in Tulsa, OK, and he also en­joyed col­lect­ing and restor­ing an­tique cars. He was mem­ber of Wood­land Acres Bap­tist Church, where he was a song leader.

He is sur­vived by his daugh­ters, Julie Walker of Mount Pleas­ant, SC, and Jan Brad­ford (David) of Lit­tle Rock, AR; his grand­chil­dren, Thomas Walker (Stacey), Philip Walker (Gabrielle), Beth Brad­ford, Brooke Brad­ford, Ben Brad­ford, and Blake Brad­ford; and his sis­ters, Carolyn War­rick of Plain­view, TX, and Elaine Row­ton of Ed­mond, OK..
