If Ok­la­homa de­feats Kansas on Satur­day — and if it doesn't, it may be the up­set of the cen­tury — it is nearly a lock to make the Big 12 cham­pi­onship game.

But it's not 100 per­cent. Let's not waste space on the pos­si­bil­i­ties if the Soon­ers lose to the Jay­hawks. Here's the only sce­nario in which Ok­la­homa misses the con­fer­ence cham­pi­onship af­ter a win Satur­day:

• Ok­la­homa loses to West

• West Vir­ginia wins out and • Ok­la­homa • TCU State loses one wins of its out fi­nal

• Iowa State wins out and fin­ishes 6-3.

In this sce­nario, OU, OSU and West Vir­ginia would fin­ish in a three-way tie for first place. The im­por­tant part: Iowa State is tech­ni­cally in fourth be­cause it owns the head-to-head win against TCU.
