James Ed­win Loyd, 87, of Bro­ken Ar­row, Ok­la­homa passed away peace­fully on Septem­ber 10, 2018. He is sur­vived by his wife, Alice Ann Loyd, 86. They were mar­ried for 65 years. He has three chil­dren, James M. Loyd of Clare­more, OK, Martha Ann Kirch­maier of Mid­dle­burg, VA and Matt Loyd of New­bury Park, CA. He's also sur­vived by his brother, Tracy and sis­ter, Gail “Scal­ley” Jones, both of Tulsa. Jim has 8 beloved grand­chil­dren and 10 great grand­chil­dren. He re­tired as a U.S. Naval Avi­a­tor in 1955 and went on to be a pi­lot for 36 years for United Air­lines. He had resided for the past three years in Mid­dle­burg, VA, liv­ing with his lov­ing wife and fam­ily, and re­ceiv­ing spe­cial care pro­vided by his son, Jim and Karin Loyd and daugh­ter, Martha. He re­quested cre­ma­tion upon his pass­ing in or­der to be close to his wife, Alice Ann un­til they are both ready to be laid to rest to­gether in Park Grove Ceme­tery, in Bro­ken Ar­row, OK.
